Dave Walker will do a basic demo on the history of Asterisk, demo install of FreePBX and setup a couple of extensions.

Dave Walker is the founder and president of DAMC Consulting, a successful IT outsourcing and communications firm specializing in SMB solutions with customers in California, Arizona, Nevada and Washington states. His education credentials include a degree in Computer Science from Rutgers University with an emphasis on virus design and defense, Database Engineer certifications from Microsoft and Oracle, CCNA from Cisco and various other HP, Dell and A+ certifications. Before founding DAMC he served as an independent consultant for a number of organizations including Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, Lockheed Martin, Level 3 Communications and Salt River Project and also as IT Director for Gannet Corporation including publications such as the New York Daily News, U.S. News & World Reports and USA Today. In his limited free time he works as a political activist and volunteer triager for the Ubuntu project.
